L's lip wibbled and he stopped blinking to create a sheen-of-tears look. He knew he was playing it up quite a bit, but he was confident the boy would crack.

L pondered. The 'ask the kid if his arm is tired halfway to granny's and then carry the basket and eat all the goodies whilst walking' plan actually could work better if he wasn't right next to the blond. "Okay," he said, and took a few steps backwards.
