Mello sat back, glaring furiously at the ceiling. Did he really seem that desperate? He was literally seething, much more than the situation required although he couldn't quite work out why.

Matt looked up at Mello's angry face and felt tears stinging his eyes. He shrugged pathetically as his face fell and wrapped his head in his arms as the tears leaked out.
