B reached onto the bedside table and grabbed the bible that the hotel had put there (did anybody actually read them?) and threw it at the hand Near was holding the phone in

He jumped up, moving over to Near in one fluid movement and grabbing a handful of Near's hair.
"You weren't thinking of turning me in, were you Near?"
