L was not very balanced on his perch, so he scooted over a bit to fit more of his feet on the ledge. Now he was leaning against Mello.

Mello blinked. This was odd. He produced a bar of chocolate from mid-air and munched on it thoughtfully.

L's eyes immediately zoomed to the chocolate.
Though he typically preferred pastries over candies, he wasn't adverse to anything sweet. And the box of doughnuts was all the way across the room...

Mello spotted L's line of vision, suddenly hit with a conundrum. Offering the bar to L may help him appear a better detective candidate, but... his chocolate...

"Yes, thank you," L replied, before pinching the top 3 squares off the bar and sucking the chocolate into his mouth. Hmm, not as sweet as he was used to, but still good.
