L struggled, but without the jerking momentum of swinging his shoulder over, he couldn't push Beyond off. Better to 'play dead' then, so to speak. He lay still.

B blinked down at the motionless L, and then decided he'd make a comfortable cushion. He lay down on top of him and pretended to go to sleep.
Mello meanwhile had eaten his way through enough chocolate to sink a ship and was currently flicked through the CDs for some decent music.

Alright, so playing dead was a failure. He sighed and went for Beyond's weak point -- tickling under the arms.
