A Plot Box is basically a profile page for your character for other members to look up and create plots between your character and theirs.
The first thing is to make a title. Put your characters name and if you want, a little quote or something that relates to them.
Secondly, tell us a little about your character. Age, job, status, what they like and dislike, a bit of their history... you can put in pictures of what you consider your character to look like, and some people like to have song lyrics to describe them. Don't put in loads of huge pictures though, or it'll be a bit annoying for other people reading your plot box.
Step three are relationships. Most people like to come up with quotes for each relationship, from a song, poem, film or whatever. Relationships come under three categories: friends, enemies and love. You can make a seperate one for family if you want, but most people just include that with friends. For example:
Friends:
Hey there stranger: Acquaintances
More care to stay than will to go: Friends/ family
Eyes to wonder but lack tongues to praise: Best friends
If angels fight: Former friends
Love:
Winged Cupid painted blind: Unrequited
Tempt not a desperate man: Crush
Parting is such sweet sorrow: Ex
If music be the food of love: True love
Enemies:
A plague o' both your houses!: Family feud
What's done cannot be undone: Betrayal
Get thee to a nunnery: Hatred
Turning saints into the sea: Jealousy
Fourth is the form that people will use when replying to your plot box. If you don't specify a form that you want people to use, they will probably go with the simple
Name:
Age:
Relationship:
Quote**:
Name and age is relating to their character. Relationship is one of the quotes you've chosen for your relationships section. Quote is a message from their character about yours. For example:
Name: Tom Brown
Age: Nineteen
Relationship: Get thee to a nunnery (Hatred)
Quote: "Go and die."
Finally a disclaimer. This is basically stating where you got the song lyrics from. For example:
Profile- lyrics from Rebel Yell- Billy Idol. Plot box lyrics from On my Own- Les Miserables, Teenagers- My Chemical Romance, Somebody Told Me- The Killers.
If you still aren't sure what to do, feel free to PM me or look up some of the plot boxes that have already been made.
