"Hm...." Near was trying to stay awake, but his attempt was failing. Without realizing it he had rest his head on Mello's shoulder. He soon fell asleep.

Mello looked down at him and sighed. Near was finally asleep. Great. Well, he wanted to go to bed soon himself, and he couldn't leave Near here... he would definitely fail the task. He carefully moved Near's head, then slid his hands under the other boy to pick him up. He staggered over to Near's bed and dumped him on it, pulling the covers over him as an afterthought.

Near was still sound asleep. He mumbled in his sleep when Mello put him down on the bed.

Mello got into bed. He decided he should probably get to sleep, so he curled up under the covers and closed his eyes.
