L ignored the odd...was it an insult?
Anyway, he finally decided to keep his suspicions at bay and simply discuss the investigation in a cut and dry, textbook fashion. If he was right, he didn't want to alert Beyond that he knew. Keeping a close eye on the other man might prove to be more fruitful.
